Getting Started
Creating an Account
To get started with Ohtli, you need to create a free account. Visit the registration page and choose one of two sign-up methods:
Email & Password — Enter your name, email address, and a password (minimum 8 characters). You will be signed in immediately after registration.
Google Account — Click the Google sign-in button to create your account using your existing Google credentials. This is the fastest way to get started.
Once registered, you will be taken to your dashboard where you can begin registering organisms.
Your Dashboard
The dashboard is your home base on Ohtli. It gives you an overview of your activity and quick access to all management features.
Overview panel — Shows stat cards for your Entities, Journal entries, Inquiries, Following, Clubs, and Listings. Click any card to jump to that section. Below the stats, your feed shows recent activity.
Sidebar navigation — The left sidebar gives you access to all dashboard features: Entities, Journal, Following, Inquiries, Clubs, Purchases, Co-op, Profile, and Security. If you are a seller, you also see a Listing section with sub-pages for your listings, fulfillment methods, orders, and earnings.
Register New Entity — Click the button in the page header to start the multi-step registration process.
Registering Your First Entity
Click "Register New Entity" in the dashboard header to begin. The registration process walks you through a few simple steps:
Step 1: Origin — Choose the origin type. "Founding Stock" means this is a new entry point into the Ohtli system. "Bred" means it was sexually reproduced from at least one Ohtli parent.
Step 2: Species or Parents — For founding stock, select the species (e.g., tomato, pepper). For bred organisms, search for and select the parent entities.
Step 3: Details — Give your entity a name, description, location, and any relevant dates (when it was planted, when it started producing).
After submission, your entity receives a unique OHT-ID (like OHT-A1B2C) and gets its own public page with a QR code.
